6 Ways to Manage Overwhelm

6 Ways to Manage the Feeling of Overwhelm:

==================================

1. Change your physical state, immediately. Don’t wait on it. It’ll only grow. Changing your state will help you snap your brain away from drifting into panicland.

2. Go for a walk. Move your body. I wouldn’t suggest running because we don’t need to feel our pain points right now. Give those knees and ankles a break.

-

3. Get out in nature. Go “hear” something else. Get off the social media noise and go listen to the birds for a few minutes. When was the last time you did that?

-

4. Bring attention to your breathing. Are you chest breathing or belly breathing? 3-4 seconds in, big breath out.

-

5. Journal. Get it out. Process “it.” Learn from “it.” Grow from “it.”

-

6. Establish points of gratitude. If you can find gratitude during moments of overwhelm it’ll help shift you into seeing ‘what is.’

Stress and overwhelm are feelings that will come and go as life’s ebb and flow continues so it’s the management of the stressors that we should be looking to.

You got this.
